WHY ATTEND THIS EVENT?
This inaugural international event will bring together physical activity researchers, educators, community development coordinators, public health and health promotion professionals, government representatives, indeed anyone who has an interest in promoting and delivering greater levels of physical activity among children and young people around the world.
Hear from thought leaders about how we can tackle a worldwide shift in the status quo and take part in discussions, workshops and think tanks surrounding:
+ Responsibilities and accountabilities for instigating, attaining and sustaining physical activity targets across society (community, education, government, media, family)
+ Capitalising on technology (optimising potential while minimising harm)
+ Getting the ‘pitch’ right – marketing physical activity to children
+ Corporate social responsibility – how we can work together to support children’s physical activity
+ Realities, competing priorities and opportunities throughout the Developing World
+ Data collection methods, sharing and collaboration
Learn best practice from success stories around the globe relating to intervention design and implementation and listen to what children around the globe have to say about their likes and dislikes when it comes to physical activity.
Expand your network and establish new collaborations.
